Blepharoplasty Before & After: Upper Eyelid Excess Skin Removal

Blepharoplasty #5

The purpose of upper blepharoplasty is to remove excess skin, muscle, and fat from the upper lids to create a youthful upper eye lid crease. Scars are well concealed in the upper lid crease, and are invisible when your eyes are open. Our patient’s scars are still healing and appear red, eight weeks after surgery. These scars fade to white typically by six months after surgery. In this case, only skin was removed since there was no excessive muscle or bulging fat pads.
