Our 48 year old patient is seen nearly a month after permanent lip augmentation with microdroplet Silikon-1000. You can see smooth, natural looking lips that are just perfect for her - without any stigmata of being "done." Unlike temporary gel fillers, Silikon-1000 never leads to necrosis, infection, blindness, embolism or stroke. This is because the size of a Silikon-1000 molecule is smaller than a red blood cell. Unlike HA which is a gel, and a large molecule that can cause vascular occlusion, embolism, and other problems. She has persistent nodularity over her nasolabial folds from previous HA filler. Since she has very thin nasal skin, these visible edges of cartilage called bossae occurred years after her original rhinoplasty. In our experience, Silikon-1000 may be an excellent alternative to revision rhinoplasty surgery, especially when treating nasal tip irregularities after previous surgery.

Permanent acne scar correction with Silikon-1000 is especially useful for people with darker skin types, like our patient. People with darker skin types are not good candidates for "resurfacing procedures" like laser treatments, dermabrasion, or deep chemical peels, since darker skin types are more prone to problems like hyperpigmentation.
