Rhinoplasty Before & After: Repaired a Deviated Septum & Narrowed Nasal Appearance

Rhinoplasty #284

Our beautiful college student is seen before, and 13 months after rhinoplasty surgery. She presented with both functional and cosmetic concerns. She had bilateral chronic nasal obstruction due to congenitally weak external nasal valves, a deviated nasal septum, and chronic rhinitis with turbinate enlargement, from chronic nasal allergy. She was also upset with the appearance of her dorsal hump and droopy tip. She felt that her nose was too large and distracting, and her chronic nasal obstruction was also associated with frequent recurrent episodes of sinusitis. The functional portion of her surgery consisted of repairing her deviated nasal septum, reducing her turbinates, and reinforcing her external nasal valves with lateral crural extension grafts. From a cosmetic standpoint, we deprojected her nasal profile appearance while keeping a straight dorsal profile, and we narrowed the upper middle and lower thirds of her nose on front view. She is breathing better postoperatively than she has her entire life, and we are both thrilled with her results. I am grateful that she allowed us to post her photographs which are simply stunning.

Rhinoplasty Before & After: Refined a Wide Bridge & Tip, and Smoothed a Dorsal Hump

Rhinoplasty #283

Our beautiful patient is seen before, and 18 months after, rhinoplasty and lower eyelid blepharoplasty surgery. She was concerned about the wide appearance of her nose, particularly the tip on front view, and wanted her undereye bags removed. Her fat pads were removed through a transconjunctival incision inside the lower eyelids, leaving no external scars. At 18 months post-op, she shows a stunning, youthful, and natural appearance, and we are so grateful she allowed us to share her photos.

Rhinoplasty Before & After: Addressed a Broad Nose, Retracted Columella & Improved Tip Definition

Rhinoplasty #282

Our beautiful 24-year-old patient is seen before and one year after rhinoplasty surgery. She had thick nasal skin and a broad, flat nasal appearance, with a retracted columella, a dorsal hump, and a droopy tip. Surgery provided narrowing of the upper, middle, and lower thirds of her nose on front view, along with hump reduction and a tip lift on profile. Her nostrils were narrowed, and we utilized an extended shield graft to achieve tip definition, as well as an extended columella strut graft to improve her retracted columella and add necessary tip support. The result is a natural, less distracting, and more feminine nasal appearance.

Rhinoplasty Before & After: Corrected a Deviated Septum, Straightened the Bridge & Refined the Tip

Rhinoplasty #281

Our beautiful patient is seen at her one-year anniversary after functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty surgery. She had chronic nasal obstruction from a deviated nasal septum and a narrow right internal nasal valve, which also contributed to a crooked nasal appearance, a bulbous droopy tip, and a dorsal hump. After surgery, you can see a natural-looking nasal appearance that is less distracting, and we are all grateful that our patient is now breathing very well. Her airway was repaired with a septoplasty and a right-sided spreader graft, which also contributed to a straighter nasal appearance. Because of her thick skin, we utilized an extended shield graft to achieve tip narrowing and improved nasal tip support, ensuring that her tip should not droop with aging. We are so grateful that she has allowed us to use her photographs.

Patient Review:

“Dr Joseph is not only an incredibly talented surgeon but also so kind. I had wanted a rhinoplasty since I was young and stumbled upon his account randomly and I loved the natural results he is able to achieve. I had a very deviated nose and he was able to fix every small and big thing I wanted to correct with my nose’s appearance and he got it to look exactly how I wanted it to look. His office keeps you highly informed the whole time and the healing process was even easier than a previous septoplasty I received years ago. I highly recommend Dr. Jospeh for any natural functional rhinoplasty needs. He is a magician!”

Rhinoplasty Before & After: Shortened the Nose and Corrected a Deviated Septum

Rhinoplasty #280

Our beautiful 28-year-old patient is seen one month after functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty surgery. Her nasal obstruction was due to a deviated nasal septum and external nasal valvular collapse. From an aesthetic standpoint, the patient didn’t like that her nose stuck out too far, was too long, and was associated with a dorsal hump and a droopy tip, especially when smiling. We derojected her nose, narrowed her nose, shortened her nose, corrected her deviated nasal septum, and strengthened her external nasal valves with lateral crural extension grafts. You can still see swelling in the lower third of her nose, which is normal only one month postoperative. We are beyond grateful that she has allowed us to share her photographs.
