We are beyond grateful that our beautiful and kind patient has allowed us to post her results (Photos 1-6). Eight years ago, we performed a functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty surgery. From a functional standpoint, she had a deviated nasal septum, large turbinates, and internal nasal valve narrowing on both sides. Her functional repair consisted of correcting her deviated nasal septum, reducing her turbinates, and placing spreader grafts to open her nasal valves on both sides.
From a cosmetic standpoint, she did not like her bulbous, droopy tip and her dorsal hump. This is an excellent demonstration of a long-term rhinoplasty result from both a functional and cosmetic standpoint. Goals of surgery were to create a less distracting, more feminine, and better breathing nose. We also include the computer imaging that was performed to ensure that there were reasonable expectations. We do not "over morph" a nose, since our goal is to exceed somebody's expectations.
We were thrilled to see her a few months ago. She was bothered by the appearance of her chin and neck. You can see (Photos 7-12) that she has a slightly recessive chin appearance, along with congenital, exercise-resistant neck fat that was additionally distracting and causing a double chin appearance. Our patient wished that she had chin implant surgery and neck liposuction at the time of her rhinoplasty; however, we wouldn't change a thing. An Implantech Anatomical Chin - Medium and neck liposuction were performed in the office with purely local anesthetic. We advocate neck liposuction as the treatment of choice for definitively treating a double chin appearance. Additionally, the combination of a chin implant and neck liposuction surgery exponentially improves the appearance of somebody's jawline when one is a good candidate. Her latest photos are 2 months after her chin implant and neck liposuction surgery. We are all thrilled with her results!
