Rhinoplasty Before & After: Deviated Septum Correction and a Refined Nasal Appearance

Our beautiful 28-year-old patient is seen 2.5 years after functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty surgery. She had a severely deviated nasal septum that was obstructing her airway, and causing a small irregularity and asymmetry on the base view of her nose. This was associated with a wide nasal appearance, and an overprojected profile nasal appearance. In the after photos, you can see a narrower and less projected nasal appearance that is completely natural. She is breathing well and she's thrilled with her results, and we are grateful that she has allowed us to post her photos.

Rhinoplasty Before & After: Nasal Narrowing and Straightening with Profile Deprojection
Our beautiful patient is seen one year following cosmetic rhinoplasty surgery. She didn't like her profile appearance which was overprojected, and associated with a tension lip deformity. She also didn't like her wide nasal appearance in the lower 1/3 of her nose. Goals of surgery would to provide a narrow straight nasal appearance on front view, with a deep projected nasal profile appearance, for a less distracting, and more feminine nasal appearance. You can see a pleasing, unoperated, and less distracting nasal appearance. We are most grateful that she has allowed us to post her results.
Rhinoplasty Before & After: Addressed a Droopy Tip, Saddle Nose & A Dorsal Hump After Septoplasty

Our beautiful patient is seen before and 1 year after rhinoplasty surgery in our practice. Her situation is interesting, since in 2023, she underwent septoplasty, and endoscopic sinus surgery by another otolaryngologist, and she had significant changes in the appearance of her nose after that functional surgery. Septoplasty and sinus surgery should not lead to a change in somebody's nasal appearance. In all likelihood, there may have been disruption of the ligaments that typically extend from the bottom of the nasal septum to the nasal tip, and this led to nasal tip droopiness. For some reason, she also developed a bit of a saddle nose deformity below her dorsal hump, and she was very disappointed with her nasal appearance. When we met, since there was no usable nasal septum palpable on examination, we decided to utilize MTF fresh frozen cadaver profile sheets for nasal tip and airway reconstruction/
Her operation consisted of nasal tip deprojection and rotation, along with hump removal, and nasal straightening, for a less distracting, and more feminine nasal appearance. We utilize the MTF cartilage for a strong columella strut graft, to support her nasal tip, and for bilateral spreader grafts, since she had indentations in the mid vault of her nose on both sides. We are beyond grateful that she has allowed us to post her photographs.
Rhinoplasty Before & After: Corrected a Wide, Crooked Nose, Droopy Tip & Dorsal Hump After Nasal Trauma

Our beautiful patient is seen before, and 6 months following a complicated rhinoplasty surgery, after severe nasal trauma. In some people, nasal trauma can lead to a nasal septal perforation, and it can also lead to disruption of the ligaments that normally connect between the nasal tip and the bottom of the nasal septum. Disruption of those ligaments often leads to a droopy nasal tip appearance. Our patient was dissatisfied with the appearance of her wide and crooked nasal appearance, along with her droopy tip, and dorsal hump. Since she did not have adequate nasal septum for grafting purposes, we utilized MTF fresh frozen cartilage for nasal tip and Airway reconstruction. We narrowed her nose, and we supported her droopy tip with a strong columella shoring strut graft. We also utilized lateral crural strut grafts to keep her external nasal valves open. We are Beyond grateful that she has allowed us to post her photos which reveal a better breathing, less distracting, and more feminine nasal appearance.

Our beautiful patient is seen before and one year following functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty surgery. Our patient's cosmetic concern was regarding her droopy tip and dorsal hump. She also had a slightly crooked appearance, a deviated nasal septum, and congenitally weak external nasal valves that was causing her nostrils to collapse with inspiration. Her surgery consisted of removing a prominent anterior nasal spine, septoplasty, a right spreader graft, bilateral lateral crural strut grafts to support her nasal valves, along with tip deprojection, tip rotation, dorsal lowering, and nasal straightening, for a less distracting and more feminine nasal appearance. And she is breathing much better after surgery without stigmata of previous rhinoplasty. We are most grateful that she has allowed us to post her lovely results.
